Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 October 2026. Version 2026-10-09.2.
- We collect what you tell us when you join the waitlist, so we can contact you about early access.
- We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use advertising cookies.
- We only send product news if you ask for it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@dorrigo.co.
1. Who we are
This policy explains how dorrigo.co (ABN pending) (“Dorrigo”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through our website and early-access waitlist. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Dorrigo is not yet open to the public. Before it opens, we will update this policy to cover the full service, and we will let people on the waitlist know.
2. What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the information you choose to give us:
- Contact details: your name, work email and, if you provide it, phone number and job title.
- Business details: company name, business type, ABN, website, LinkedIn profile, company size and how long you’ve been operating.
- Location: your country, state and city.
- Your interests: the kinds of work you buy or provide, typical project size, how you buy or win work today, capacity, and your answer to our question about your biggest challenge.
- Preferences: how you heard about us, whether you’d like to be an early partner, your consent choices, and the referral code you used or were given.
We also check business details against public sources, such as government business registers and your business website, to confirm you represent a genuine business. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. We use this for security and to keep the site running.
You don’t have to give us optional details. If you don’t provide your name and email, we can’t add you to the waitlist.
3. How we use it
- to manage the waitlist and contact you about your early access;
- to decide the order of invitations, for example by location, the kind of work you’re interested in, and whether we have been able to verify your business;
- to understand what businesses need, so we build the right product;
- to send you product news, only if you opted in;
- to protect the website and our users from fraud, spam and misuse; and
- to meet our legal obligations.
Automated processing. When you join, our system automatically flags waitlist entries from businesses that say they are not registered, so that a member of our team can review them. Nobody is refused or removed by a computer alone. A person makes any decision about your invitation. This uses the business type you select.
4. Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- service providers who help us run Dorrigo, such as website and database hosting, email delivery and business email. They may only use it to provide their services to us;
- public registers and sources we check to verify businesses; and
- authorities, where the law requires us to.
Overseas. Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
5. Emails from us
By joining the waitlist, you agree that we can email you about your early access. Product news is separate: we only send it if you ticked that box. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying “STOP” to any of our emails or by emailing hello@dorrigo.co. We act on unsubscribe requests within 5 business days.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our website, for example which pages are visited and whether people join the waitlist. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location (city or region), your device and browser, and how you arrived at our site. We don’t send Google your name, email or other details you enter in our forms, and we have turned off Google’s advertising features. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies.
Google may process this information outside Australia, including in the United States. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. We don’t use advertising cookies.
7. How we keep it safe and how long we keep it
We store your information with our hosting provider, with encryption in transit and access limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
We keep waitlist information until you ask us to remove it, or until 24 months after we stop operating the waitlist, whichever comes first. After that we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to remove you from the waitlist, by emailing hello@dorrigo.co. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we can’t do what you ask, we will explain why.
9. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please email hello@dorrigo.co. We will acknowledge it promptly and respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will email people on the waitlist.
